With dog's keen intelligence, any humane training method will work, eventually. However, at On Command Dog Training , my goal is to utilize positive techniques while teaching the rules of calm and balanced behavior. It is not all about the redirect, which is used, but not at the expense of imparting an understanding of appropriate behavior. By using a consequence that breaks the thought stream, followed by praise, touch, and treats (when appropriate), the learning curve is shortened. what you want is clear to the dog.
